Oaxaca, Mexico Alligator Folkart Carving
Eleazar Morales, well-known Oaxacan artisan, has carved this highly detailed alligator. The black and green back and tail are finely excised, with the head and body painted an intricate design in shades of gray. the feet are red, as is the underside, accented with black. The jaws are highlighted with gold, surrounding the glowing white teeth; eyes are orange and red! Approximate dimensions: 11" Long x 5" Wide x 4" High.
