Oaxaca, Mexico La Virgin de Soledad Folkart 
Carving
Highly acclaimed Oaxacan artisan Maria Jimenez Ojeda has created this exquisite, highly detailed figure of La Virgin de Soledad, the patron saint of Oaxaca. The clothing is black with white flowers and the crown with cross, flowers in her hand and trim on the clothing are shimmering gold. The base of the carving is painted in a pattern of playful angels and roses. Very difficult to obtain, this is for a special collector of Oaxacan folkart. Approximate dimensions: 3" Long x 3" Wide x 10" High.
