Folk Art, Oaxaca, Mexico, Handcarved Fox
Well-known Oaxacan artisan Susano Morales has created this action-packed snarling fox. It has a dark purple and rust coat consisting of hundreds of fine lines, highlighted with a purple stripe down the back. His stomach is bright green and his large, bushy tail is purple and gray striped. Yellow tips on his ears punctuate lavender rimmed eyes and orange mouth. Note his red and gold feet! The body is 12-1/2 inches long, 8 inches high at the ear tips, and full extension with tail is 17 inches.
