Oaxaca, Mexico Folkart Double Armadillo Carving
This double armadillo carving, by creative and talented Oaxacan artisan Felipe Ramirez, is quite reminiscent of a balancing act. The top armadillo has a green body with a duel color and pattern combination for the shell of a red and gold detailed design combined with a multi-colored geometric design. The bottom armadillo has a purple body with a turquoise and wine-colored and multi-colored shell. The tail of the top armadillo curves gracefully around the back of the bottom armadillo's back. Approximate dimensions: 6" Long x 5" Wide x 17" High. A serious folkart collector's carving.
