Folkart, Oaxaca, Mexico, Handcarved Dog
Wonderful sitting dog by well-known Oaxacan artisan Eleazar Morales. The dog is dark brown with a fine spatter of light caramel, accented by a white dot encircled with rust. A rust tone emphasizes the rib cage and the eyes are pale green. The underside of the ears is combination of light and dark blue, and his alert expression is accented by a black and tan speckled nose and white whiskers. The dog is 11" high and 7" wide from front paws to back, plus a 3" width for the tail (from the body) and an 8" long tail.
