Oaxaca, Mexico Blue Anteater Folkart Carving
Armando Jimenez, a member of the famous Jimenez family of artisans, has created this very unusual anteater. The rear part of the body is bright blue with light blue line markings and the shoulders, neck and legs are gold with brown oval markings. The carving is in the flat-legged style. Eyes are green with a gold outline and the stomach is gold. Approximate dimensions: 12" Long x 5" Wide x 11" High. A very exciting example of the artist's work.
