Oaxaca, Mexico Folkart Armadillo Carving
Wonderfully talented Oaxacan artisan Mauricio Ramirez has created this beautifully carved and painted armadillo with an iguana hitching a ride on its back. The armadillo's head is purple and turquoise with a black and white freeform design. The front and rear of its body are a detailed pattern of red, black and white. The mid-back is intricate triangular patterns in turquoise, black, red and purple, with the legs colorfully painted in a freeform pattern. The iguana is turquoise with multi-colored spines on its back. Approximate dimensions: 11" Long x 5" Wide x 8" High. A must for the serious fokart collector.
