Oaxaca, Mexico Mermaid Tin (hojalata) Sculpture
Highly talented Oaxacan hojalata (tin) artisan Alfonso Santiago has created this charming mermaid. Santiago's work is very imaginative and this red mermaid with blue hair wears a gold crown and is playing a lyre. The mermaid and multi-colored fish are mounted on a rectangular base. The tin is lacquered to protect the finish and colors. Approximate dimensions: 10" Long x 3" Wide x 9" High.
