Oaxaca, Mexico Folkart See-Saw Tin Sculpture
This charming hojalata (tin) sculpture by Oaxacan artisan Alfonso Santiago is of a lighthearted couple on a see-saw. The figures,very intricately made, are painted bright colors - - the artist's style resembles the tin man in the movie "The Wizard of Oz." The see-saw moves back and forth and is anchored on a rectangular base. Approximate dimensions: 11" Long x 4" Wide x 11" High.
