Rajhans Collection is an online portal for high quality Indian bronze statues, or murtis, as they are known in the Hindi language. Each bronze has been acquired with love of art and religion and painstakingly researched and documented. About us
Indian bronzes are religious art. The worship of statues is a core part of the Hindu religion, and each of the statues you will see inside has been used for worship in households in India for centuries. As a result of daily handling and ritual bathing, the statues have developed rich patinas and show various degrees of devotional wear, wear which accentuates the beauty of each piece. Each statue has a long personal story and a deep religious iconography. Having been closely tied with India for over a decade and having lived in India for several years, these statues represent to me a powerful mix of ephemeral art and eternal spirituality. Rajhans Collection will maintain a small inventory, but we will continue to acquire and offer new pieces as often as possible. In addition to promising that all pieces are authentic and of the highest quality, we also stand by the ethical pledge never to knowingly offer a piece that has been in a temple. Our aim is to share the beauty of the Hindu religion, while maintaining the rich cultural heritage of India.
As part of our commitment to the well-being of India, a portion of each purchase price will be donated to a charity for disadvantaged children in Delhi.
