| This Heavy Continental Silver Repousse Wine Ewer or Claret Jug Bears a German Mark, Probably from the Mid-19th Century (1850-1870). The Ewer is Heavily Decorated with Repousse Vines, Grapes and Leaves, and Sits on a 5 inch Square Platform Base, also with the Grape and Leaf Decoration. It has an Applied Twig Handle that Joins with the Ewer with a Cluster of Grapes. Dimensions;:approximately 3.5 pints, 13.75 inches to the top of the handle, 9 inches from handle to spout, and a weight of 34.5 troy oz. Excellent condition. | ||
