Japanese Silver Shell Spoons Tea Ceremony Meiji Period

Unusual spoons designed in the form of silver scallop shells. Stem handles are lacquered wood left natural on one side. These four spoons are in like new condition. From estate of collectors they are hallmarked with Japanese characters for "jungin" or sterling silver. Measure 6 1/4" x 1 1/2" wide at shell. The hand made pottery "Happiness" bowl shown holding the spoon set is by Michel McCarter, a local artist. It can be sold separately for $49.
