| McClelland Barclay (1891-1942) American born artist and advertising illustrator extaordinaire. His art graced the pages of Saturday Evening Post, Cosmo and Ladies Home Journal and his ad campaigns for everything from the U.S. Navy to Camel cigarettes are considered iconic today. Back in the 20s he created covers for major publications with his portraits of movie stars of the era. His jewelry designs, (along with his pin-up art and household objects) are niche collectibles today and his sterling silver items are the most popular among jewel hounds. Here's a leaf and berry drop style necklace thats simple and elegant and wears with ease due to its light weight. His signature floral embossed clasp is intact. Hallmarked and stamped sterling, it's about 15" so fits near the collar and drop is about 3/4". If you would like more information about this prolific artist, please just ask. | ||||||||
