| Whimsical beadwork and needlework firescreen depicts a cockatoo. English origin circa 1850s-70s, with original side tassels and it's beautifully made gilt metal (brass?) extension arm. The weighty arm is hinged and has a decorative clamp that can be attached to your mantle. Alternatively, this unique textile would be a perfect candidate for framing. Panel measures 16 1/2" x 21 1/2" and the extension arm measures 20" in all, the sections measuring about 9" each. Loss to reverse of panel, it's red silk thats frail and wants replacing. Some loss to gilding. Beadwork and needlework are intact. | |||||||||||
