| A very rare and impressive hand carved and painted Tlingit staff or cane dating from the late 1800’s. The cane features wonderful and unusual imagery an Eagle sits at the top followed by a diving Killer whale with a human in its belly, Hawk transforming into a human figure, an otter, Raven and a shaman at the base. Height 33” tall, contemporary base 4 ¾” by 4 ¼”. Fine original condition with excellent original pigments of black, red-brown, blue-green. A museum quality example worthy of the finest collections. | ||
