Rare handmade sterling silver and onyx necklace designed and signed (c.1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. Necklace measures 15 1/2 inches long and 2/3 inch wide at the toes. Comprised of six silver feet each measuring 1 1/4"L along with 6 bezel set onyx stones all on a sterling silver chain. Hook and eye clasp. Hallmarked HUBERT HARMON STERLING MADE IN MEXICO along with Harmons' trademark angel feet and wings. Beautiful condition with no dents or dings to silver, no chips or cracks to the stones. Harmon was well represented in the museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE. A chapter is devoted to Harmon in MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk.
