Sterling silver and amethyst necklace on heavy link chain designed and signed (c.1940) by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). The pendant detaches from the chain to be worn as a stunning brooch or pin. The pendant measures 3 1/4" X 3 1/4". The signed Spratling chain measures 17 inches long. The necklace with chain weighs 102 grams or 3.6 oz. Beautiful vintage condition with no dings, dents or repairs. All 10 amethyst stones are original with no chips or cracks.
