Rare vintage sterling silver and sodalite necklace and earrings designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Comprised of 14 sterling silver bezel set links each holding a deep blue stone veined with cream to gold calcite accents. Necklace measures 15 1/2" wearable length and 5/8" wide. Slide in clasp is tight and secure. Screw back earrings are 1 1/2" long and designed with the same open silver platform backing as the necklace. Hallmarks are the ANTONIO CROWN with TAXCO within, 970, STERLING and eagle with number. One earring carries the Antonio crown hallmark. All stones are in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks.
