Vintage intricately handmade 940 sterling silver and copper bracelet designed and signed circa 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Bracelet measures 1 inch wide and 7 inches long. Given the unusual hidden clasp it will best fit up to a 6 3/4 inch wrist. Weighs 113 grams, 4 oz. Each copper panel is comprised of 10 individual hand shaped loops finished on the reverse with silver solder. Each silver panel has 12 individual loops. The independent movement of each loop creates a sensuous, fluid feel and look to the bracelet. The silver and copper have a beautiful soft patina. Fully hallmarked on the clasp HA 940 TAXCO MEXICO eagle # 9. Pictured on page 138 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. Please see the matching earrings that we have listed separately. This Aguilar design is rare in all silver but extremely rare in silver and copper. Both very desirable for collectors. Insured shipping included within the US.
