Rare vintage 1950's sterling silver and azure malachite necklace designed and signed by American and Taxco, Mexico silver artist and designer William Spratling. Reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright art deco design. The arrow necklace measures 16 wearable inches long. In addition the pendant measures 2 1/4" X 1 1/2". Beautiful condition. Slide in clasp is tight and secure. Signed script WS on the back of clasp. This design was featured in the museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and is pictured on p.242 of the museum catalog by Penny Morrill.
