"Tongues of fire" sterling silver belt buckle designed and signed circa 1942 by Taxco, Mexico silver Maestro and artist Hector Aguilar. Buckle measures 2" long and 2" across at the widest point tapering to 1 1/2" at the back. The buckle will take up to a 1 inch strap. Weighs 30 grams. Aguilar often used the curled "tongues of fire" in his silver designs. Buckle is in beautiful condition with normal surface wear. No dents or dings. Fully hallmarked on the back HA .940, Taxco Mexico, TALLER BORDA, eagle 9.
