Intricately constructed vintage sterling silver & moonstone bracelet designed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist artist Antonio Pineda(1919-2009). This bracelet measures 1" wide & a comfortable 6 1/2" long. Bracelet has 8 moonstones which are bezel set in floating frames. The design is accented with silver balls and beads. The moonstones reflect a beautiful luminous pale blue color as they move in the light. Gorgeous unpolished patina to the silver. Exquisite condition with no dents, dings or repairs. Stones have no chips, cracks or issues. Fully hallmarked with Antonio crown, ANTONIO TAXCO, eagle # 17, HECHO EN MEXICO, 970. Clasp and safety chain are tight and secure. This design pictured on p 181 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. Antonio Pineda designs are included in the permanent 20th Century Mexican Silver Collection recently added to the Latin American collection at LACMA -Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
