Beautiful vintage (1930-40's)sterling silver pin & pendant designed and signed by Matilde Poulat. Measuring 3 1/4" long X 2 1/2" wide. Handmade the piece is set with coral and turquoise beads. A pair of repousse polomas (doves) flank a larger bezel set coral cabochon in the center. All original and in beautiful condition with no repairs. Gorgeous patina. Clasp with lock is tight and secure. Hallmarked on the back MATL .925 HECHO EN MEXICO. Matilde Poulat signed her work MATL which is a variation on the Aztec word for water. Her designs are included in the permanent 20th Century Mexican Silver collection in the Latin American wing of LACMA - Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
