Extremely rare articulated Aztec arrow pendant earrings designed and signed circa 1949-50 by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Each measures 2 1/2" long. Pair weighs 06oz. or 16grams. Beautiful vintage condition. Pictured on Phyllis Goddards' excellent website spratlingsilver.com. Spratling designs are the central focus of the 20th Century Mexican silver collection displayed in the Latin American wing at LACMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
