Striking sterling silver, moonstone & pearl bracelet designed and signed circa 1950's my Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda(1919-09). Bracelet measures 1" wide with an interior wearable length of up to 7 inches. Weight 97grams, 3.4oz. The eight translucent moonstones are in perfect condition. The 8 lustrous pearls are also in perfect conditon. Silver is free of dings or dents. Slide in clasp and attached safety chain are tight and secure. Antonio Pineda designs have been the focus of numerous exhibits including SILVER SEDUCTION: THE ART OF MEXICAN MODERNIST ANTONIO PINEDA. The illustrated catalogue of the same name is by Gobi Stromberg. Antonio designs are also featured in the permanent 20th Century Mexican silver collection at Los Angeles County Museum of Art - LACMA.
