Sensuous florentine sterling silver lariat necklace & earrings designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Alfredo Villasana. The necklace is comprised of braided sterling silver strands and measures 36" long end to end. Earrings measure 2 1/2" long. Necklace weight - 185 grams, 6.5oz. The pair of earrings weigh 16 grams, .6oz. The necklace has a snap closure which gives the wearer several options. Villasana apprenticed with both William Spratling & Hector Aguilar before opening his own taller. Signed VILLASANA, 925, TAXCO, MEXICO and eagle stamp. One earring is signed AV 925 Taxco. We have not polished the necklace. Beautiful patina that only comes with time. Exquisite condition.
