Intricately carved hand wrought sterling silver bracelet designed and signed circa 1950 by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Bracelet measures 1 1/4" wide. The bracelet is thick and measures 6 3/4" long interior but will most comfortably fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist. Weight- 124 grams, 4.4oz. The design features hidden hinges and a slide in pin closure. Pin and safety chain are tight and secure. Signed HA TAXCO 940 and eagle #9. Beautiful condition with no dents, dings or repairs. Gorgeous patina. Aguilar apprenticed with William Spratling before opening the Taller Borda. Aguilar designs are featured in the permanent 20th Century Mexican silver collection displayed in the Latin American wing at Los Angeles County Museum of Art- LACMA.
