Stunning and rare this early sterling silver and Mexican fire opal ring is from the Los Castillo taller of Taxco. Ring size is 7 1/2 but is adjustable. The face of the ring measures 1" top to bottom. Ring likely designed by Antonio Castillo's wife and partner at the time, Margot Van Voorhies. She would later be known as Margot De Taxco after opening her own Taxco design work shop. Fully hallmarked with early linear 980 LOS CASTILLO TAXCO. Beautiful condition with no issues. The colors within the stone are exquisite.
