Vintage 1930-40's hand wrought sterling silver, coral, amethyst and turquoise necklace designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Matilde Poulat. Weight- 94 grams. Necklace has a wearable length of 17 1/2". Pendant measures 4" across & 3 1/2" high. Hallmarked on clasp. Poulat signed her designs Matl which is an Aztec word for water. Beautiful vintage condition & patina. Matl designs are included in the permanent 20th century Mexican silver collection at LACMA.
