| Outstanding 1930's art deco sterling silver and amethyst pin or brooch designed and hallmarked (c.1930's)by Taxco and Mexico City artist Frederick Davis (1880-1961). Measures 4 1/4" X 2". Weighs 31grams, 1.1oz. Beautiful vintage condition with no dents or dings. No chips or cracks to the stone. Marks read FD SILVER MADE IN MEXICO. This pin design was featured in the recent museum exhibit WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and pictued on page 206 of the Penny Morrill book by the same name. | ||||||||
