These festival masks are hand crafted in the villages in some regions of India and are worn during different celebrations, ceremonies and festivals. The masks represent gods, spirits, animals or ancestors. We believe this one to be of an ancestor, due to the fact that the sculpting looks very specific. Extremely unique accent piece for your home decor. We have mounted the mask on a modern black steel base, in a way that no holes were drilled in the artifact, to keep its integrity for generations.
