STERLING SILVER GORHAM SEWING PIN WHEEL CUSHION 1895
SOLD!

Rob Roy was a romantic comic opera first performed in the Herald Square Theatre, New York, on October 20th, 1894. This sterling silver pin wheel would have been a commemorative giveaway at the 150th Performance. This has to be a rather scarce item as not many were produced.

The front of the piece says: WHITNEY OPERA COMPANY 150TH PERFORMANCE of ROB ROY HERALD SQUARE THEATRE

Marked on the back with the Gorham logo, T.KIRKPATRICK ~ N.Y. ~ STERLING

Measures: 1 1/2" in diameter

Condition: One shallow indention on the back (refer to picture 5). Material edges of pin wheel show very little if any wear. Sterling front and back are tarnished. I have left the original patina for the buyer to make the decision about polishing.

A very special piece for the sewing collector or opera buff!
