Dating from the British colonial rule of India. This Finely crafted piece is embossed profusely with trailing vines and foliage. The neck rising to the chained stopper is decorated with acanthus leaves. A truly lovely piece of Indian Silver which I believe are greatly under rated and under-priced. 15 cm high (6"inches)

19th Century Horse painting ‘Irish Hunter in a Stable’ Manner of George Pace. This nice quality oil painting on board depicts a fine Irish bay hunter with good, strong features, an alert eye which could mean lots of spirit, four white socks and blaze, a docked tail which is somewhat out of fashion these days. I have sought advice from a retired Art dealer friend and he seems to think that it could be by George Pace around 1880. This beautiful large vase is decorated in the traditional Iron Red and Cobalt Blue, depicting Flowers and Plants. What I find impressive about this example is that the Porcelain Is very thick making it a heavy piece. This leads me to believe that it may be earlier than is stated. This interesting mug is decorated with an under glaze blue tree peony growing from rock on a terrace. It has coloured enamels applied over the glaze. The mugs were especially ordered by the VOC. (The Dutch East India Company). They are under glazed blue with enamels which have been eroded by the sea. The blue depicts a peony tree growing out of rocks on a terrace below a border of trellis. Of waisted hexagonal form with flat hexafoil rims. In the 16th 17th and 18th Century sea salt was used, a flakey substance picked up by hand. When salt was refined this style of stand went out of fashion, consiquently making these quite rare.

This lovely box is profusely decorated with scrolling designs, Vines, Acanthus and foliage. The lid is embossed with an impressive elephant with a circle, the side panels are decorated with eight mythical beasts, the underside with a square pattern of numerous circular shapes. There is a wood lining. Silver marks to the edge of the lid, in good condition, the lid shuts firmly. Size: Width 9cm Height 4cm Weight: 284g Including Lining
