I don’t think this started off as a Campaign chest however, it has been skilfully adapted and being of the same period looks most decorative. Size 126cm high, 92cm wide, 50cm deep.

This strong metamorphic chair changes to form a bed. It is very well made with brass fittings to the legs. A long lounger cushion will need to be soured to sit or lay on. A friend has one in their Orangery where guests can snooze during the summer. A great reminder of the ‘Days of the Raj’

A nice example in two sections. Well made with impressive dovetailing, I acquired two almost identical from a family who had past military connections. The grandfather had removed the bun feet and replaced them with castors so I have had four bun feet professionally made, it is now as it once was. It has been in the same family for over 125 years, the locks are by Hodges of Wolverhampton who were established in 1860. There are two short and three long drawers...

A most elegant mirror with three half round pillars and gilded capitals with gilt slip. Small veneer loss to lower right block, upper block and capital refitted, possibly by a maid. A really honest original piece needing only a wipe over and beeswax polish. I don’t think it needs a visit to a restorer as it would take away the character. Size: 39cm by 84.5cm

Totally original and unrestored, a folding ebonised stand with brass carrying handle and catch which opens to reveal a series of fitted leather compartments for stationary i.e. envelopes and stamps. There is an inkwell and both sides are lined with a deep blue velvet. Very dusty having not seen the light of day for a great many years. I always wonder what pieces like this would say if they could talk. A wonderful piece for collectors of military history. Size when open H74cm W60cm D51cm

Dozens of Victorian bone letters designed in the Times Roman style. They are most addictive, I find myself making names and messages, they have lots of uses for games around the fire, simple fun and beautifully made. All within a nice Victorian Papier Mache box, decorated with a spray of Fuchsias. This would make a most original present.
