This most elegant silver on copper tea urn was made prior to the ones with lots of fussy detail. This one has reeded handles and top gadrooning to the borders, acanthus finial to the cover and square base with ball supports. An amount of silver plating has worn off due to regular polishing by the household staff, to me this adds to the character with the warming effect of copper blending with silver...

This heavy fine quality pair of two branch three sconce candelabra have barrel shaped columns with four set of double rings, a partially reeded base and removable sconces. Although candlesticks of the Victorian era tend to be rather fussy with lots of foliage etc., this pair impress me for their elegant simplicity which cannot fail to impress. Very slight loss to the silver plate which reveals the warmth of copper. In good condition, they would grace the finest of houses. Height: 4...

This is one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen, a beautifully cast and shaped bowl, notably of a large and useful size. Cast with a pierced diamond lattice pattern, decorated with putti and amorini within leaf scrolls terminating in a lovely flamboyant handle. I would take a calculated guess that this fine spoon was made in France. It bears a mark London, 1895 by David Bridge. Weight: 49g Length: 19cm

Being in the form of a garden spade and fork makes these ideal for serving sardines which in Victorian times were ‘soused’ at making them quite a work of art to transfer to the plate. Spade: 15.5cm Fork: 14.5cm

Antique Miniature Hip Flask c1890. This lovely littl flask has a cut glass bottle with silver plated collar, screw top and cup which is gilded inside.
