Real classic Victoriana, made at the height of The British Empire around 1870. The upper section has one long and six short drawers below an oval mirror with carved supports. The recess in the backboard is a nice feature. It stands on carved cabriole front legs which completes this grand piece. One or two age related marks, scratch to lower section.

I really love these, depicting all types of Victorian life, travels, fashion, music, dance etc. One would purchase an album of these scenes, cut them out and stick them to a screen finishing with a clear glaze. Each panel has a mahogany frame with a giltwood slip...

This fine piece is in two halves with brass mounts and a central secretaire drawer. The whole interior, writing surface and facing drawers is veneered with walnut, perhaps specially commissioned? I have not seen this before on a military chest. It has a gilt tooled leather writing surface which is split at the fold. There are two pigeon holes and three drawers, one with pen and divisions together with original travelling board. Fitted with a brass Brahma lock and keys...
A true Victorian classic, spoon back with the top carved with floral spray. It stands upon cabriole front legs joined by serpentine front carved apron. Button back, velvet cover. A few age related repairs as to be expected as the Victorians quite often had lots of children!
This piece is of nice small size, it has adjustable shelves and retains its original glass. This may well have started life as the upper part of a taller piece however, it now has its very own base and is ideal for a smaller home. Size: H101cm W84cm D27cm
Comprising of two long and two short drawers, a lovely rich patination to the front and top however, the sides have been freely polished, personally I would enjoy it as it is. One or two minor age related losses. Standing upon splayed bracket feet with shaped apron. Size: H87cm W100cm D44cm
