13th Century Celadon Shallow Dish from the Java Shipwreck. This is a beautiful piece of Chinese provincial porcelain from the middle ages. Within the dish and on the underside are two unglazed circles. In the centre of the dish is a glazed roundel with Peony flower. The lady who works for me spent two hours giving the gilt brass a good clean and has completely transformed it, obviously the inside has not been touched.
