This nicely modelled piece was designed by Albin Dobrich c1925 for the Augarten porcelain company of Vienna, Austria.
It is from the Spanish Riding Series It is from the Spanish Riding Series and is entitled Piaffe. In equestrian terms the Piaffe
is a part of the Dressage exercise . Piaffing consists of trotting almost on the spot with a short pause in mid-air between the
diagonal steps. Dobrich has captured this beautifully.
