18c meissen dinner plate fine provenance
This lovely soup dish has a scalloped edging, painted with Four sprays of Summer flowers within a raised panel with a Large spray in the centre. The reverse bears the Blue crossed swords and an impressed number '22'. This dish formed a Large dinner service belonging to the Walpole family of Walterton Hall, Norfolk. Among the notible members of this famous family was Sir Robert Walpole, first Prime minister of England. Thank you for looking and for your time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Size: 25cm in diameter. I also have another plate, and scalloped serving dish from this service in my other listings.
