| This fine Armorial plate is from Gunton Hall in Norfolk. It was the seat of the Suffield family (Baron Harbord) The crest is beautifully painted in the centre, A lion on a "Chapeau Gu Couchaut Arg" to quote an entry from a book of Crests. The plate has a classic "Apple Green" ground complimented by fine gilding which is in quite remarkable condition considering its age. I bought this from the sale of contents at Gunton Park in 1979.
