| Victorian Nautical Watercolour Signed F.Carleburg 1853. This is a fine watercolour of a British sailing ship flying the red ensign, a signal flag and a pendant with a union jack and love well on it. The inscription in the mount reads: LOVE WELL CAPT RARCHBOLD. There are eight boats in the scene which I'm sure is off the white cliffs of dover. Please observe the detail, I think it will impress the most critical of nautical experts. The watercolour is signed in the lower right corner F. Carleburg Doralrecht.
