Pair of Chinese hand carved figures of seated nobility. Great care in the detail of the carving can be seen in the way the chair backs were carved. The "King" measures 4 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" wide. The "Queen" measures 4 3/4" tall and 2 1/2" wide. C. 1900, they are in excellent condition.
Magnificent 19th C. Chinese celadon temple jar with blue and white decorations. Excellent condition. Foo dog finials are mounted on each side. Purchased from a fine antique store in Ripon, Yorkshire England in the late 60's. 24" tall.
Beautiful Navajo saddle blanket. Acquired by Vann Manning Jr., Chief of the Bureau of Mines in the Herbert Hoover Administration. He obtained this rug on a trip to the Southwest during his tenure. The colors are vivid, however, over the years some bleeding has occured. It measures 22" x 20".
