| This spectacular over sized cobalt Victorian jardiniere with matching pedestal is without repair. It is in the untouched condition and has a wonderful presence. The jardiniere measures 16" W and 13" T. The base is 40" T. The combined height is 53 inches. Both pieces are signed with the raised W S & S cartouche. It was made between 1885 and 1890 by these well known Austrian makers. I have taken a photo of the chip under the jardiniere for you to view. I have also shown the rough surface of where the pieces joined together. There are also a few slight but not unattractive flakes off the surface of the pedestal. These age occurring imperfections are expected with a piece that is over 110 years old. I must also note that they in no way take away from the beauty of this stand alone piece. The cobalt color is so true as is the art nouveau design through out both pieces. We are pleased to be able to offer such a rare and outstanding piece of majolica by such well know makers. It is truly beautiful. | ||
