An old soapstone seal was in very good mood of scholar taste.
Two lions were vibrantly rendered on the top of the seal as a knob.
While well maneuvered inscriptions were on four side of the stamp.
For Chinese literati, the scholar taste was most treasured, by the meaning of the inscriptions and by the craftsmanship of the carving on the inscription.The seal obtained all these characteristics.
And the tint of this stone was in great mood too...

By charming atmosphere and with mysterious beauty, an excavation piece of a jade Bi was presented in a unique form.
As seemly a remnant of a hardstone's boulder of making the jade Bis, the Bi was actually a formal ritual object despite the roughly shaped side and the original stone encrustation preserved.
In ancient times, jade pieces could be always so precious that nothing would be discarded even there're some defects...

It was a transition from early periods and was also a counterpart of metal wares of persian cultures which had been introduced into China 6th-8th centuries.
It was an one-of-a-kind piece but was not odd to the pottery cultures of the periods.

This kind of Bian was most likely having been put in a scholar chamber.

A Jizhou bowl was applied with dark brown nearing black glaze on the surface.
Characteristically and famously a leaf pattern was applied in the cavetto.
By greasy-feel quality belong to the Jizhou glaze, the surface was spread with subtle crackles which were caused by the age.
The body clay revealed at the bottom was in soft and loosening quality which was in line with the characteristics of the dated Jizhou wares...
