A wood brush pen was carved as a stalk of a tree branch.
Nicely rendered carvings were preserved in very good condition when darken patina was yielded on the surface.
By a good size, a brush pen can be the indispensible addition to the collection of Chinese scholar items as it was always being a hard to find item.
And when it was made by nice hardwood material.
Material: Suanzi or DaYei Zitan wood.
Date: Qing Dynasty, late 19th century.
