Description:
A Yaozhou covered jar was in fantastic look.
It was well carved with floral motifs on the surface.
In characteristically yellowish green tint of the glaze, the ware was revealed with the also characteristic beige body clay.
Obvious incursions were happened to the glaze in foggy look.
One manufacturing defect was found at the foot ring.
Otherwise, it was in perfect condition without any restorations,.
Date: Jin Dynasty, 11th/12th century.
Height: 11.5cm, Body Width: 11cm.
It was published in the famous Chinese antique magazine ART&COLLECTION, FEBRUARY edition.
