Guest Book

A fine and nice tripod censer was applied on the surface with black glaze.
It was in decent look by well proportioned body with three supporting feet.
The feet was shaped with well-executed skill by apparently a bamboo cutter or some hard tools.
'Cause obvious scraping scars were left at the feet trunks.
The scars were also approved by a documented piece.(See last picture.)
Some similar pieces are in the documentations.

Date: Southern Song Dynasty, 1127-1279.

Provenance: Gangzhou or Jizhou Kilns, Jiangxi Province.

Mouth Width: 11.7cm, Height: 9.7cm.

Condition: Heavy and sound with a few of original kiln defects. Some tilted, but not obvious.
Nevertheless the glaze is great in greasy feel.
