| Description: A pair of Qi-Lins were hollow casted and carved. Decorated with gilding procedures, the bronze figures were preserved in very good condition. As display items, or had probably being put in front of a shrine, they were no doubt symbols of good fortunes for Chinese people. Having been fantasized in the features like-the elk's horn, horse's hooves, dragon's scales and flamy tails and mane etc, this peculiar animal have been Chinese people's lucky charm for centuries. As Qi is male when Lin is female, the details are obviously seen at the carvings. Date: Early 20th Century. Height: 14.5cm Length: 14.5cm Depth: 7.0cm | |||||||||
