| Description: In elegant shape and beautiful sky-blue glaze, the lotus-bud bowl was originated from Jun kiln of Song Dynasty. Jun wares were among the five unique kilns of Song Dynasty. They were famous for their sophisticated blue and sometime purplish kiln effect. Maybe there’s no purplish glaze effect here for this piece, but the well proportioned shape and the evenly applied blue glaze rendered had fully yielded the elegant mood of the Song ware. The retrospective glaze on the surface, the whitish residue inside the cup and the pale incursions around the foot ring authenticate itself a true piece of the date. Condition: Very good except an original hole in the middle of the foot ring, it was probably caused by the wheeler when molding. Date: Song or Jin Period(AD960-1234). Height: 8.2cm, Width: 10.3cm | ||||||||||
