| Description: A rare and lovely Yaozhou russet-glazed incense burner was in simple form. Wide-mouthed and with high-set shoulders when the neck is narrowed and the lip is rolled, the jarlet was applied with persimmon glaze inside and out of the surface. The bottom was flat and was concaved to a round circle. The unglazed base had turned to a buff skin during firing, and in a firm quality which were all the characteristics for a Yaozhou ware. Date: Song period(11th/12th Century), Height: 6.6cm | |||||||||
